Man, gimme a break!

Right, I can't remember if I've said this before, but if not, what I had planned was when I had time & all the bad stuff had passed, I was going to do a journal entry about what's REALLY been happening from about 2005-present (I haven't lied at any point...to my knowledge, I've just not written about a TON of stuff).

In September 2007 I started a college course and it was said by an Educational Psychologist that I have mild A.D.D (finally confirmed!) with elements of Dyslexia & Dyspraxia (it's not that simple though, & I still don't really get it), in short I'm at a rather strange point in my life (even by my standards lol) and it's unofficially official that I'm a f*** up lol. From what I gathered I don't actually have ADD, Dyspraxia and/or dyslexia but that's the closest the Educational Psychologist could get in the recognised learning disability "labels". He actually said: "*insert my name here*, you have a *insert my name here*-ism" lol.

I got what I call a "helper" (person who helps me keep on task etc) in my 2007-2008 college course, it is highly likely due to this fact that I passed the course this time (by the skin of my teeth admittedly, my mum even decided she'd have a minor stroke about feb 2008 so I ended up visiting her in hospital on and off- but a pass is a pass!). This year I have been struggling as I have no helper (to cut a long story short - cluster-f***/something fishy going on) and so haven't been able to keep up with work as for 1 thing I haven't been able to understand the assignment briefs (gimme what I need to research about & I'll do it...or attempt anyway lol).

This semester (the 2nd semester) I was allowed to start (as soon as they told me) from the 2nd semester assignments and so therefore drop the assignments what I had been frying my brain with before (Edgar Frank Codd etc will be the death of me - don't ask lol) AND THIS TIME I COULD/CAN UNDERSTAND THE ASSIGNMENTS (or at least 1 of them lol).

Last Thursday morning (19th March 2009):
I had just got the layout of an assignment done the day before in class. I went downstairs for breakfast at about 10am (with what I'd got to do still contained in my head) & was just about to head off back upstairs when my mum says something along the lines of "stay down here a minute, I don't feel too good" (she had said a little earlier that her foot went numb and "was like walking on a sponge") so I thought/said "well my PSP needs charging anyway" and was going to play PSP/stay with her until the battery charged then head off to do the assignment...no such bloomin' luck.

I was on the PSP when my mum started talking about butterflies or something, you see I wasn't actually concentrating on what she was saying, more on the fact that her speech had become slurred, I was also looking directly at her mouth (yeah, I looked up from my PSP! ), I can't remember how the agreement came about but I ended up calling 999 (Emergency number for England) and after directing the ambulance crew to the right street (with the help of some bloke in a nearby block of flats) ended up going to hospital with her in the back of the ambulance.

Thankfully she came home the following day (just an over-night job this time and she even managed to walk a bit before I left) and I left at about 4pm on the Thursday. I have nothing against my mum, as obviously she can't help it, but...CAN I PLEASE GET A FECKIN' BREAK!? lol!

(I've got a meeting about the future of my education this Friday too...which just so happens to be on the same date as the hand in date for the assignment I think/thought I can/could get done...there's at least 8 miles between the 2 locations of where I need to be though not taking in to consideration how long the meeting will last...someone's having a joke lol)

...And breathe...Vent over...you can open your eyes and possibly stop scratching your head now lol!

Side notes:

* Set up a/my wireless router for the first time (a little too easy for my liking lol...but it asks for a password so that's at least something) - an "802.11g" wireless router (from Virgin media) does work with a PSP contrary to what I read on the internet/in the PSP manual (worked for me anyway lol). As a result I've been playing the PSP game "Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops+" online and am known as DS666. It's not bad online, but when people "hack" I do find it spoils the game eg infinite life = unfair to me.

* Been playing Worms World Party online - this is just plain funny...nuff said! (I still can't host though, hmph)

*Got Internet Explorer 8 - other than I'd like to know how you send an e-mail to England/Australia etc when you use "map with live search", it's pretty good so far, it's just IE7 with bits added from what I remember. I'm also glad the html (etc) code I learned still works with it!
